I was recently honored to host a live cooking demo for the GMSDC (The Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council). GMSDC is the state of Georgia’s leading advocacy organization for small business development and supplier diversity. GMSDC hosted their 2020 Virtual Business Opportunity Exchange and partnered with me for an after-hours live cooking demo. We recorded the event in a client of mines beautiful home in Stone Mountain Georgia. The GMSCD spared no expense and brought in a top-notch production film crew to record and live stream the whole event.
The event took place on a Wednesday and the theme/menu was “Taco-Tuesday”, so we notably named it “Taco-Tuesday wish it was Wednesday”. We prepared “Chipotle Salmon Tacos with Apple-Cucumber Salsa and Lime Yogurt Sauce, and finished it off with an Apple Pie Quesadilla”
We posted the recipes to the attendees of the event in advance giving them the opportunity to shop for their ingredients and to cook along with Chef Carlton during the show. We introduced some of our Bon Appetit Y’all gourmet condiments into the mix and used them in our recipe preparation.
The attendees were able to communicate with me through one of our hosts and to ask questions live. The event was a huge success not only for the GMSDC, but I had a ball doing it. We had some silly moments and of course some live bloopers, LOL, but if you can’t make fun of yourself, who can you make fun of. Here is the link for the show for you to check out when you have time. I would love your feedback.
