During this busy season, we want to pause for a moment to wish you and your family a Happy Holiday Season and to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support. It has been a year filled with growth, challenges, and memorable moments, and we are thrilled to share the holiday spirit with every one of you.
This year has been a journey of accomplishments for Occasional Occasions by Carlton. We have achieved a place of recognition as being one of the catering companies for The Masters Golf Tournament; Carlton was selected to serve on the Board of Out Georgia Business Alliance;
I completed an executive business study course at the Tuck School of Business at the prestigious Dartmouth College in New Hampshire; I was selected as the Fundraiser/Sponsorship Chair for the 34th Allie Awards that will convene in Atlanta in March 2024; and we had an extremely successful wedding season this Fall. We owe a great deal thanks to the dedication and hard work of our incredible team and the unwavering support from our community.
On a personal note, my business partner, Carlton Brown (founding owner of Occasional Occasions by Carlton) and I got married on September 30, 2023, at the beautiful Delphi Gardens in Marietta, GA. It was one of the most festive and magical experiences of our lives as we celebrated our union with 100 of our family members and friends.
Christmas Reflections from Christopher:
I have many fond memories of Christmas as a child growing up in a large family. These memories centered around preparing the house for the festive holiday season. As corny as it may sound, my siblings and I really did play Christmas Music and would sing as we decorated the tree while eating on some wonderful snacks that came right out of my mother’s oven. I still celebrate those moments in my home as my family and I prepare to host family members and friends.
As a parent of now two young men, one of my favorite times of celebrating the season with my sons when they were young was to make us these huge mugs of hot chocolate. The imagination of young boys as they drank the warm beverage from their festive mugs still make smile.
Christmas Reflections from Carlton:
One of my favorite Christmas memories was when my mother declared Christmas this particular year as a non-gift giving Christmas. I was about 22 or so and it was different for me, but I was onboard. We all reunited as a family, as all my siblings were grown and were living outside of our parents’ house. I remember us all gathering in me and my twin brother’s bedroom, and just started talking and sharing. The truth came out about a lot of things that us siblings as kids did, that we thought we had gotten away with and that our parents never found out about. We were wrong. They knew just about all our shenanigans, but just didn’t say or reprimand us for; it was funny.
We bonded unbelievably through that time like no other. It was amazing and for me, the best Christmas I ever had.
Looking ahead to the new year, Occasional Occasions by Carlton will celebrate its 30th year as a catering company serving the Metropolitan Atlanta community. Be on the lookout for special promotions and events surrounding our anniversary celebrations. Stay tuned for our re-launch of Bon Appetit Y’all by Carlton, event production and services expansion and join us in making 2024 a year to remember!
To allow our team to enjoy the holidays with their loved ones, our office will be closed on December 22 – 27, 2023. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to serving you with renewed energy in the coming year.
Thank you for being a part of the Occasional Occasions by Carlton family. May this festive season bring you joy, peace, and unforgettable moments with your loved ones.
